I am looking at starting up an email newsletter for both of my sites, and was wondering what others are using, or which is the best and easiest, but not expensive software/program?

As we don't have any subscribers yet, I can't justify paying $$$ at present, maybe later when the list builds up.

Any help would be appreciated!

TIA

Cheers

Hi Jenni....

I just started using Your Mailing List Provider.... and it was excellent! www.yourmailinglistprovider.com

I sent out my first email yesterday. And I got an order within hours for something I had promoted in the newsletter (Very Happy)

If you haven't got an existing mailing list... you can start with them on the FREE account - and you get 1000 subscribers! You don't get so many reports... and when a customer signs up, they get a confirmation with an 'ad' on it.

With their professional account... it was $3.75 a month for unlimited subscribers... and you can send out to 500 a month. For 501-2500 it only costs $7.50 (US). You get some great reports to tell you how many people open, and how many click on the links. You can personalise the opt in/opt out, and the customer doesn't get any adverts on the professional plan.

I had 250 email that I needed to import... so I signed up for the professional account. I paid for 6 months - $22.50. My first order paid for that plus some!

They had some templates, which I found REALLY EASY to use. I will find your email and send my newsletter to you, so you can see what it looks like. You can embed the pictures - so that they open up on all 'html' email servers... and it creates the 'text' version for you as well so you can see/change that too.

I did a fair bit of research, and asked a lot of people about email programmes. Some prices are outrageous. Some are cheap - but incredibly frustrating to use.

I highly recommend YMLP.

The programs I use I pay a subscription.

What about www.tildamail.com.au - you only pay when you send an email out, and with a small list it wouldn't be too expensive Smile
