Hope all goes well for today Michelle! DS went off to Year 7 yesterday and looked so spunky and grown up in his smart uniform (gotta love white cotton shirts - I think there is something wrong with me!). He enjoyed the first day and was even talking to some of the girls on MSN last night. Wonder if this is the beginning of the girl phase?

On my second son's first day the kindy teacher sent all the mums home with a little package and inside was a teabag - to go home, relax and have a cup of tea. Such a sweet thing to do.

But I cried all the way home. He didn't look back.

When I dropped my boys (now 8 and 10) at the first day back at school yesterday, I had my joggers and gym gear on and ran out of there - First day back at the gym for me - yeehah!

I hope all went well today Michelle - it's such a big day.

Regards

Mary-Lou

Hope all the kiddies & Mums had great days. My DS started yr 6 on the Monday & all was fine.

My DD started high school on Tuesday & was really nervous she was going from a school of 150 in k-10 that she had been at for 9 yrs (k-7) to a private college in the next town with over 1200 kids in 7-12 Shocked

But she handled it all well & even impressed her textiles teacher as she is the only one who has done any sewing before & was the only kid who knew what a seam was!! Thats my girl SmileThough she did shock the japanese teacher when he asked them their favourite car & why. My girl tells the class her fave is a ute as thats what we go out in when we go shooting & she loves to go shooting Laughing Teacher was What you go out shooting? Shooting what?? DD was well yeah (country kid this one!!) we get fox's, rabbits, feral cats & roos. Use the roos to feed the dogs. Its great fun. Poor teacher was ok. I was Laughing Laughing as she was telling me.

hehe when I was in Japan all those years ago, my friends were really shocked that we could shoot "skippy" much less eat him!

It's nice to hear about all these kiddies having a great start to the school year Smile
